People have their own way. Not really recommended unless you have a Hellhalt grandfather complex and are in love. They are not terrible — they just do not work with anything properly later except furbolgs.
Sometimes you want 1 fully upgraded on level 1 that you can fullsell later. If you focus this unit:
Spawn / back
Spread them so they share damage. They work best when they take damage at the same time (raises clear speed). If one takes damage by itself, you are finished.
Level 1: 4 medium orcs (400)
Level 2: fullsell 1, upgrade 2 (600)
Level 3: upgrade the last one (750)
Level 4: you could add 1 more orc and up it fully if you can spread the damage — should hold, especially in spawn. Hopefully you build something else after those 3 (750)
Level 5: make a plan. After 7 these lose their purpose. Ask your teammate for a fullsell on 1 and sell the other 2 into level 1 sera for sera surge on 5 if you need to; or ask for FS and sell for sera after 7 so you have a bigger tank for 8; or sack 2 into sera; or struggle and keep them. Your call.
