Play ranked games, upload the replays, and follow your progress on the leaderboard.
Start at 1,000 Elo. Wins increase your rating; losses decrease it. Your position on the leaderboard follows your rating.
Opponent strength matters. Ratings use team Elo, based on each team’s average rating. Beating a stronger team earns more points; losing to a weaker team costs more. Equally rated teams normally gain or lose 12 points per player.
Draws keep your rating unchanged. A player who leaves still loses rating.
Your stats follow your BattleTag. Connect Battle.net to your account to see your rating, rank, and match history in My stats.
Beta season: ratings reset at the end of beta while we test the Elo system.
If you leave too early and the map marks you as a leaver, you receive a loss and lose Elo. This applies even if your team goes on to win or the match ends in a draw. Being votekicked also counts as a loss.
Stay until the game reports its final result. Leaving takes priority over your team’s result.
Play a ranked match. Use Hellhalt 5.0.80.4 or newer and enable ranked mode (-dmrk). Save a replay that includes the end of the game so the result can be read.
Find your replay. Open Documents\Warcraft III\BattleNet\<id>\Replays. Replace <id> with your account folder. Upload or copy LastReplay.w3g before your next game overwrites it.
Sign in and select your files. Click Upload replay at the top of this page and choose one or more .w3g files (up to 8 MB each).
Check the upload result. A counted match updates the ladder for its players. If a replay is not counted, the upload result explains why. The same match only counts once, even if different players upload it.
Practice games and replays without a ranked result do not affect your rating.
Open Replays and turn on Auto-upload. Choose your Documents\Warcraft III folder, or the account’s Replays folder, and grant folder access. Keep a site tab open on the PC you play on. Auto-upload requires Chrome, Edge, or Opera; you can upload files manually in other browsers.
